Tim Smith

Tim Smith is a Senior Vice President at Global Trust Company (“GTC”). He has over eighteen years of experience in the investment industry, and joined GTC in September of 2017. Tim leads the GTC Finance team that provides fund administration oversight to our collective investment trusts and LLC’s. This includes expense management, production of annual audited financial statements, and coordination of year end audit and tax work, among other tasks. Prior to joining GTC, Tim was a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”) where his focus was on the financial statement audits of private funds (common and collective, hedge, venture, private equity) and public funds (’40 Act mutual funds). He worked in the Boston office of PwC for twelve years and additionally worked in the Minneapolis office for two years where he helped to build that office’s asset management practice. 

Tim received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Boston University in 2003. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
