Stu Smith

As Chief Information and Technology Officer for Global Trust Company-GTC and Northeast Retirement Services (NRS), Stu leads the technology team and directs the design, development, and implementation of the company’s proprietary accounting software.

With more than 20 years of experience in financial services and technology, Stu has played a key role in advancing the firm's technological capabilities. Prior to joining GTC in 2016, he spent 11 years at BNY, where he established and expanded a custom solutions technology team that supported all aspects of the hedge fund administration business –trading, reconciliations, custom reporting, tax and financial statement preparation. He also managed custody and fund accounting teams that served some of the largest hedge funds in the world.

Stu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College-Hartford.

Stu lives and works out of the Boston area.
